Catholic Community Foundation (CCF)

Archbishop’s Letter

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

I am delighted to welcome you to the Catholic Community Foundation. As your Archbishop, I see firsthand the need to raise new monies to help secure the financial viability of the Church in South Florida in perpetuity. The CCF was designed specifically for this purpose. With the success of the Vision 2000 campaign, almost every school, parish and ministry in our Archdiocese benefits from the funds administered by the CCF. This is a wonderful testament to the generosity and wise stewardship of faith-filled men, women and parishes in our Archdiocese.

Since its inception through its predecessor organization, the Archdiocese of Miami Endowment Fund in 1981, we have striven to establish endowments so that gifts could provide interest and income to permanently fund parishes, schools, social service facilities and ministries. Today the CCF attracts a growing number of Catholics who want to share the blessings God has given them in a way that will make a lasting difference to the Church they love.

For generations to come, the mission of the CCF will continue to sustain and enhance the charitable, the educational and the spiritual ministries of our Archdiocese. We who serve that heritage today are one with those who led the way. As the New Testament exhorts us in 1 Timothy 6:19 – “Thus will they build a secure foundation for the future, for receiving that life which is life indeed.”

I invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a part of the Foundation as a benefactor to one of our many great Catholic causes. This great tool can and will help you in your wish to sustain and spread the mission and goodwill of the Catholic Church throughout our community.

May God continue to bless you and your loved ones abundantly.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Thomas G. Wenski

Archbishop of Miami
